Galatians 1:19-24

This is the last study for the week.  Did it seem tedious?  How much of it were you able to do?  Did you listen to any of John MacArthur’s messages?  What do you think of them?  Feel free to leave me comments or e-mail me.  If you’ve already done some digging in Galatians and are far beyond what’s here, please leave comments with words of wisdom.  Then everyone can see them and benefit!

In your study today and reflection over the weekend, think on this first chapter of Galatians.  Do you understand the theme so far?  Try reading it in another version besides the King James.  You can switch the version in the online bible that I’ve had linked in these studies.  Here’s a link to the New American Standard Version of Galatians 1.

Part 1…20 minutes

  • Pray:
  • For the Spirit to teach you through God’s word, today
  • To remember the covenant of salvation:  We are owned by God, we are bought, we are bond slaves to Christ, we are children to a holy Father and are called to be holy because he is holy.

  • Read:

The Epistle of Paul  to the Galatians…Chapter 1:19-24

19 But other of the apostles saw I none, save James the Lord’s brother. 20 Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not. 21 Afterwards I came into the regions of Syria and Cilicia; 22 And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ: 23 But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed. 24 And they glorified God in me.

  •  Write: verses 19-24 today, in notebook

  • Scripture memory: Review verses 1-18 and study 19-24 today
