My prayer today: Today is Tuesday – Prayer for family

Lord, I come before you with thanksgiving for the way you have worked out circumstances to fit a need. It means changes and I’m not ready for those changes, but the changes are neccessary to help others. Father, I pray the remaining work to be done this week goes smoothly. Give us wisdom as a family to deal with what’s to come. Lord, help me to be appropriately sensitive but not overly sentimental. I pray for family we may get to see this weekend. Work out the timing and the plan. Help us all to be well rested and not ill, so we can enjoy this bit of time together. I also give thanks for a brother and sister that are going out of their way to carry a heavy load. I pray for them in these coming months and ask for you to show us any way we could help. Lord, I need an organized mind today. Looking around, there’s much to do and not enough hours in the day. I need thee every hour…

My prayer today: Today is Monday – Fasting and praying for the lost

Father, I have many that come to mind this morning. I pray that throughout the day you bring to mind those that need prayer…those that are unsaved. I pray for someone in particular right now. Father, I sent him a direct letter about what your word says about being saved. “My heart’s desire and prayer” to you God is that he may be saved. Time is running out for all of us, but especially for him. Father, give me wisdom in this modified fast today, as I am not accustomed to fasting regularly.

My Prayer: Today is Wednesday – Praying for missions

Father in heaven, I reach out my prayers today beyond the world I touch and see every day. Father I pray for those who are out in the highways and the hedges sharing the gospel and ministering to the sick and the poor. This week we read about the China Inland Mission, now the Overseas Missionary Fellowship. They’re prayer request now is for over 400 new workers to be prepared and ready to go to East Asia bringing the gospel. Lord, provide for this ministry. Your word says that the harvest is white but the workers are few. I pray specifically for a family living, preaching the gospel, baptizing and ministering in homes. I lift them up quietly before men but boldly before your throne. You know who they are and about their needs. Holy Spirit intercede on my behalf. Lord, I pray for our church missionaries to the Phillipines, that they would remain strong as a family. I pray for those to whom they minister, that many would be saved and discipled. Lord, I lift up Saji and Moni Lukos and Reaching Indians Ministries International. What a blessing to read their focus and vision statement! I am especially encouraged by these tenents: “Christ before career”, ” “Character before ministry”, “Unity before Growth” and “People before Program”. I pray these would remain and continue to strengthen all that they do and that the churches that start under their ministry would stay true to the gospel. And Lord, I pray for No Greater Joy ministries and their Good and Evil project. Their goal is to translate their bible stories book into 100 languages. I pray for wisdom for this ministry and that the book would reach and teach millions the gospel and about the one true God. Father, I pray for the prisoners who have received this book and been saved. Finally today, I pray for the missionaries that are located in areas where governments are falling. I pray for the gospel of Christ to spread like wildfire.

My Prayer: Today is Tuesday – Praying for family

Father in heaven, what a beautiful day you have given today. It’s cold but the sun is shining after days of rain. I lift up in prayer every person in this house. I pray for the students that are off at their college classes. I pray for their dilligence in study and that they would continue to be ambassadors or Christ and be a blessing to their instructors and the other students. I pray for the youngest at home today. Lord, what a great schooltime we had yesterday learning about Hudson Taylor. This morning Derek blessed me when he applied what we learned yesterday to something important today. Lord, I ask for direction today with our schedule. Teach me to redeem the time. (Our greatest weakness!) Father, I pray for Mark as I go back to work this afternoon after a long weekend. We talked a lot this weekend about how to better arrange his activities and for some fresh, new pursuits. I’m praying you will give him wisdom in this. Lord, I pray for us here at home and our extended family Colossians 1:9-10, that we may be filled with the knowledge of your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding and that we may walk worthy of you Lord, fully pleasing you, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God. As for good works, bless the hands and feet that are doing a great ministry to those in need in our family. Lastly Lord, give me wisdom as I try to write a letter of faith and hope to a very sick loved one.

In Jesus name I pray these…Amen

My Prayer: Today is Monday – Fasting and praying for the lost

Lord, in 2 Corinthians 5:21, I read this morning “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him” Father in heaven, I come before before you in prayer this morning. I cannot come, were it not for Christ and his sacrifice for me. We could not come near or stand or speak at all without his supreme sacrifice. Lord wash me in your precious blood that I become righteousness. Though my sins were as scarlet, they are now white as snow. What can wash away my sin? Nothing but the blood of Jesus. There is power, power, wonder working power in the blood of the lamb. There is none righteous. Lord, hold the door open. I am praying today for those friends and loved ones whom you have given to me. I pray for their salvation. You make their lives known to me and close to me that I might pray for them and be an ambassador for Christ…to be His hands and feet. I see also that enemies are coming. They are closer now. I pray for them. Lord, turn their hearts to the one true God and away from their father, the father of lies. Give me strength to perservere and wisdom today as I fast and pray.

My prayer: Today is Friday – Prayer for country and all leaders

Father in heaven, I come before you with my heart burdened for the leaders of our country. They carry the responsibility to defend and protect, but there is an enemy that would have the leaders betray the citizens. In History it has happened over and over again, but Lord you turn the heart of the king whichever way you will. Father, I pray that your will would be done and that your name would be declared over all the earth. I pray for those in leadership that they would be saved. I pray for their salvation, because your word says that it is not your will that ANY should perish. Lord, we are wasting time. I pray that you would narrow the focus of your people.
